Alan, your installation is correct. Please use the link to login and load the theme then on:

In as much as your other installations are concerned, I found one under ‘networking’ and another one under ‘marketing’:

in some cases you use folders, in others you use sub-domains. If you get the error 404 it’s because the link you use is not correct, for example is you use:

http://goprobiz.com/networking/Yorgooblaster/

instead of:

http://networking.goprobiz.com/Yorgooblaster/

Networking is a sub-domain and it is true you will get there also by typing in the sub domain as a folder; however we have defined the way the blog builds links under settings and permalinks in your dashboard. You will see there that your blog URI is http://networking.goprobiz/Yorgooblaster and therefore you have to respect that set-up.

This applies to all your installations. If this does not answer your question: please let me know with which installation you experience problems and I will fix it for you.

Some additional remarks:

Under http://goprobiz.com you still display the server default page; to change that, just edit under public_html the file called index.html

You could also load a blog there, namely an authority blog, sort of an umbrella for all your specific niche blogs (in such a case you may consider using a Semiomantics XO script); if you load a blog to that domain root, just delete index.html as the blog has an index.php.

The blog’s index.php will not automatically display if you leave the index.html as html comes before php in the alphabet.

I also noticed that you have prepared folders for loads of key-word related content, most of them being sub-domains which is fine. Whenever you use a sub domain, the sub domain name just replaces the www in your link and the subfolders contained within the sub-domain folders are added after the main domain name:

Example:
sub domain name: networking
install folder: Yorgoblaster
domain name: goprobiz.com

the link is therefore:

http://networking.goprobiz.com/Yorgooblaster

Support I go threw and set up the the 1 threw 6 installation process, everything seems to go ok / until I get to where it ask to install – wp-admin/install.php – into my browser [with domain name] I do this both ways with http://domainname goprobiz.com/wp-admin/install.php and http://goprobiz.com/domainname/wp-admin/install.php

When loaded into browser I get a I get a 404not found. I come to a dead end…cannot go any further.

I know these instructions work, but for some reason I get stuck in this area. I know it’s me and it’s probably something small I’m doing wrong…Boy if I can just get this right there is no stopping this train…

I will leave another comment with my info for this blaster if I may?

Scott and Hector, if you read the text of the config.php file, you see the comment that ‘localhost’ does not need to be changed in 99% of the cases.

‘localhost’ is a standard terms that designs the host where the script is loaded and on cPanel accounts it works. If the term ‘localhost’ does not work, then just enter the main domain of the hosting account. If you are hosted by Supreme for example, that is what you have to enter, while on ChiHosters you just leave it to ‘localhost’.

Notice also that the name of the data base and the user name is composed of your hosting username and the name you gave that data base and user.

Example: If you domain was domain.com and your hosting username was ‘domain’ then the data base name and username will always start with ‘domain_’ . To that you add the name you created for example ‘user’ which will result in: ‘domain_user’ for the DB user and if you called the data base ‘data’ the DB name would be ‘domain_data’.

Dominick, YORGOO Blaster is not a system to send mails out, but to send mails in to…:-). There are some 300 blasters set up by now and there is only a handful of people having problems. The problems are not YB related in most cases but due to a lack of understanding or knowledge in relation to hosting, cPanel or email set up.

To resume YB: YB is essentially a modified self hosted WP Blog script with multiple themes. It’s automated performance is based on the fact that you can import content from RSS and Atom feeds and via email.

In short: YB acts like a feed reader and like a mailbox which imports content automatically. To make the system work, we use timers to import feeds and automated server commands (Cron Jobs) to empty the mail boxes into the blog whereas the mail content gets published in form of blog posts.

YORGOO Blaster may be difficult to understand in the beginning and for people who have little experience with self hosted content managed sites, however, with a bit of effort and training and by following the very precise set up instructions everyone can set it up and reach the projected goals. Alternatively we offer install services from the customer area.

When releasing the Blaster we wanted to give a financial advantage to those who have the necessary expertise to set it up by themselves and therefore we sell the script at such a low price. A normal price for a completely set up and configured site would be something around $150 to $200 minimum, looking at prevailing market conditions. It has always been our goal to pair a good deal with providing knowledge to satisfy our customers’ needs.

On the other hand, you will also understand, that on a $47 deal we cannot spend 2 hours with every customer to give individual set-up training; 2 hours are not enough if the customer wants to learn what took others years to learn.

You also can do a simple thing: go to Google and query “what’s a Cron Job” or “how to set up email accounts” and so on and you will find answers to all questions you may have. The cPanels are also equipped with extensive help files and flash movies to make your life easier.

For your convenience, we have set up the webmaster trainings on Fridays; they are free and provided by pros who have years of experience in the fields of your concern.

Error establishing a database connection

This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at hostgator.com. This could mean your host’s database server is down.

* Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
* Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
* Are you sure that the database server is running?

Hector, sorry to hear that. Please send me your cPanel access and I will install it for you. In yorGOdom you need to point the domain to your server’s DNS, if you need help with that, just let me know what the domain name is and we will change the settings for you.

If you want to do it by yourself:

1. yorGOdom: click on your domain name, you see the domain control panel. On DNS Server ‘Change Service: to ‘user’ and if you are on ChiHosters enter into lines one and two:

dns1.yorgonet.com
dns2.yorgonet.com

[I have just done this for you and it may take a few minutes to propagate].

2. Loading and installing: if you need help just post a ticket to Chi Customer support indicating your cPAnel access and we will take care of it.

Not every website is providing a feed and not every website which is providing a feed provides it through a folder called ‘feed’.

The ‘/feed’ after the URI works namely on WordPress sites. On others it could be something like RSS or you could look for an xmlrpc.php file. The site map may help or some times Google by calling the domain and feed or RSS.

Some site owners protect their content and don’t want to share it. Therefore no feed. It also means that they close doors for wide proliferation of their content via means of Syndication.
