1. Download the YORGOO Blaster zip and extract the contents to your hard drive. 

 

2. To install your site you will need a hosted domain (get a Domain and Hosting from our recommended providers at Chihosters – get the Unlimited Pack for $35 per year) 

 

3. Go to your cPanel and - create a sub-domain, if you wish to install the script on a sub-domain.

- create a MySql Database

- create an email account which you will use only for the purpose of this site

 

4. Open your FTP Client ( SmartFTP (30 days trial) or free FileZilla for example )

- connect to your host and upload all folders and files contained in the zip into the blog folder (if you load it to the root of your domain, so that it will appear under the URL http://mydomain.com then load it straight into ‘public_html’ ; if you want it to be addressed as http://mysubdomain.mydomain.com then load it into the folder called ‘mysubdomain’ under ‘public_html’, the same if you want it to be loaded into a sub-folder on your domain.)

 

5. Edit [wp-config-sample.php]
 
Edit the file called wp-config-sample.php by entering the name of your MySQL Database, The Username and the User Password you have created under 3 above.
 
To edit use your text editor such as Notepad or PSPad ( free Download and one of the best editors)
 
Change the name of wp-config-sample.php to wp-config.php
  
 
6. Permissions: CHMOD
 
Change Permissions to 666 on the following 2 files:
 
- wp-config.php
- .htaccess
 
Change Permissions to 777 on the following folder:
 
wp-content

ONCE YOU ARE FINISHED WITH SET-UP AND TUNING, RESET TO:

wp-content          755
wp-config.php     644
.htaccess              644

7. Run Install

Type into your browser :

YourSiteURL/wp-admin/install.php

Example:

http://yorgooblaster.YourDomain.com/wp-admin/install.php (if you use a sub-domain)

or

http://YourDomain.com/wp-admin/install.php if you install in the domain’s root folder.

Follow the steps and …

 

8. Login to your back-office (Dashboard):

Login from YourURL/wp-admin and use login name admin and the password the system has generated for you.

 

9. Change Password In your Admin area select Users, then admin and edit your User Data there, change the password to something you will remember.

 

10. Select Theme under ‘Presentation’, select YORGOO Blaster by double clicking on the screenshot YORGOO Blaster.
